A tire has two prices: the price of the tire, and the price of the tire on your vehicle, ready to drive. Only the second one is the whole job — and it's the only fair number to compare.
What "installed" includes here
When this shop prices a set, the figure covers the tires mounted on your wheels, balanced, with TPMS handled in the same visit, in our own shop. That's the number you drive away on. A per-tire price from anywhere else is a starting point, not a total — the mounting, balancing, and sensor work still has to happen somewhere, and it gets added on top.
How to compare two quotes honestly
- Same tire, same size. Get the size off the sidewall, the driver's door placard, or the owner's manual, and the model name of the tire you're pricing. A cheaper quote on a different tire isn't a cheaper quote on your tire.
- Ask for the installed figure. "What is it, on the vehicle?" is the whole question. Compare installed to installed.
- Bring us what you found. We sell more tire brands than can be listed, and most of what you can find online, we can usually get for a better price, installed. Bring the size and the model name and we'll price it installed so you're comparing the same thing.
One more reason the same visit matters
A new set is also the natural moment to look at how the old set wore. Uneven wear is information — it can point at alignment or front-end wear, and both are handled in the same shop that sold and mounted the tires. You don't need a second appointment somewhere else to act on it.
