Yesterday May 11th my daughter 17 and her friend were out delivering plate lunches for a school fundraiser. Her car was not acting right. She pulled into y’all’s business. She went inside and spoke to the 2 young men who were working the front desk. She explained what they were doing. She told them I do not have any money to pay you. But is there any chance y’all can look at my car and let me know if it is safe to drive it back to school in Edmonton? They both were very kind to her and said we sure can. And they did. She called me and told me what all had happened. She said they told me it wasn’t safe. I told her I’ll be right there. Thinking the whole time they were out to get a sale and because she was just a kid she wouldn’t know any better. When I pulled in she showed me her tires. One of which had absolutely no tread and was smooth as glass. I thank God for these young men for keeping my girl safe. Knowing they wouldn’t get paid to check it. When I got inside the store I thanked them and they said you’re welcome very friendly and kindly. They didn’t realize they very well might have saved the lives of two young teens trying to raise money for their senior trip next year. The guy said the front tires were both done in. The back tires looked ok. He said they are from 2018. I could tell that he thought I should replace them all but he didn’t push it. I said I would like good tires with out costing a fortune. He found me a great deal for 4 new tires and an alignment. My daughter told him what else her car was doing. He told her we will drive it after we get the new tires on it and see what we can find. He then looked at me and said if we find several things wrong I will tell you what needs to be fixed for safety and what can wait til later! All this will take place today. I can not even explain to you how grateful I am that my daughter walked into your business not having a clue and looking for help and got it with smiles and kindness. After another shop mounted my tires, driving over 65 mph felt less like a highway cruise and more like riding a paint shaker at Lowes. The Jeep was vibrating so bad I’m pretty sure it was loosening bolts and trying to rearrange my dental work. I took it over to Southern Kentucky Tire Pros, and they got it sorted out the right way. Whatever magic they worked on the balancing machine deserves an award. I’ve now got the cruise set at 76 mph on aggressive mud tires and it rides so smooth you’d think they were street tires. Huge thanks to the crew there for fixing what should’ve been done right the first time.
